Lucia Eggen is a Slovak artist living in Prague.

​Working with acrylics, coloured pencils, and graphite, she is inspired by the magic she finds in everyday life—on walks with her poodle, Bubble, through the streets of Prague or nature, and in the calm presence of her two cats.
Background
Eggen is an artist with a background in poetry, prose, photography, and creative direction. She is the author of three books, and her writing has appeared in Slovak, Czech, and international anthologies, magazines, and on the radio. Her poetry debut was recognised as Debut of the Year, and her work has been translated into several languages.

Her creative ideas have been honoured in international advertising competitions, including Young Lions Cannes and The Mobius Awards in Los Angeles, and featured in Shots, Lürzer’s Archive, and ADC Best of European Design and Advertising.

Eggen’s street and documentary photography have received international recognition, including 2nd place in Professional Photographer of the Year 2012 (UK). Her work has been published in Leica Fotografie International, National Geographic, and on the cover of American Theatre magazine, and exhibited in the UK, USA, and France. Her photographs are part of the Bibliothèque nationale de France collection.
After years of creative exploration, she returned to her first love — art. She decided to follow her childhood dream and fully dedicate herself to drawing and painting.
